Hi, everyone. Rob Collier here from We Buy Homes. Today we’re just going to take you through a property we’re going to start renovating on Monday. We just wanted to give you a little bit of a view of the outside of the property. Now we’re going to go into the property, starting with the garage, and take you through the rest of it also. So, follow me.
Okay, so a single garage here. What we’re going to do here, we’ve got a few compliance things we need to do here in terms of filling some gaps. We’re going to replace some of this ceiling over here that’s dropped down, and we’re going to pretty much gut this whole thing out and give it a really good repaint, so it’s going to come up nice and clean. Okay, come on in and we’ll show inside the property.
Okay. So this property, it’s a 90 square meter property including the garage, so about 75 square meters for this two bedroom unit. So it’s quite a good size unit, 15 square meters for the garage. What we’ve got in here is just the living space. Now, everything we’re going to do in this property, we’re going to basically completely re-plaster and repaint. We’re going to change the surrounds on the windows, because they need to be changed. We’re going to put more down lights in, we’re going to replace the carpet. We’re also going to knock this wall out over here and open it up into an open plan living.
Come on into the kitchen and we’ll show you the current state of the kitchen. Needs quite a bit of work. It’s got a lovely melamine type thing on the walls here. We’re going to completely gut this out. We’re going to completely gut the kitchen out, and we’re also going to take the hot water cylinder out, put a gas califont out the back, and create quite a bit more space. We’re going to have more cupboard space, and completely redo this whole area.
Come on through to the bedrooms. So this is the master, and it’s a pretty good size for a master bedroom. Pretty much your standard stuff in here, it will be plaster, paint, change the window surrounds, change the knobs on the cupboards here, paint these, and really give it a really good spruce up. Come on in, we’ll show you the spare bedroom. Pretty much standard what we’re going to do next door as what we’re going to do in this bedroom as well. So again, needs a bit of work, but once we’ve done it, it’s going to look nice and sharp. Then I’ll show you into the bathroom. Going to change the toilet out completely, again down lights, plaster and paint through there. Into the bathroom, essentially we’re going to change the vanity, we’re going to leave the shower on this one. We’re going to redo the lino, and again, paint and plaster throughout as well.
Okay, let’s go outside now. Come on out and we’ll have a look out there. Just bear with us one second as we open the door. Okay, so what we’re going to do out here, we’re going to break some of this concrete up down here to make it quite a bit more appealing. We’re going to put some new grass down, some planter boxes over here. The fence that you can see surrounding, we’re going to water blast and replace any broken timber and then repaint and re-stain that, so it’s going to come up really, really nice. Come on over and we’ll just take a little bit of a look at the roof. Just facing up to the roof, we’re going to completely replace the guttering. As you can see, the guttering has already come off. We need to get rid of that moss, and there’s a couple of caps that need to be replaced on the roof as well.
So, that’s a bit of an overview of what we’re going to do on this property. We’re going to come back in, say, a couple months’ time, show you what we’ve done, and it will be good to look at before and after.
